Darbeh-Mehr San Jose

The San Jose Darbeh-Mehr located on Crothers Road, on the the way to Mt. Hamilton, commands a wonderful view of the valley below and serves the Northern California Zoroastrian community. 

Founded in 1981 by a group of enthusiastic volunteers, and with the great vision and donation of Rostam and Morvarid Guive a beautiful temple was made possible on Mount Hamilton, east of San Jose in northern California. Servicing the Zoroastrian community as a sanctuary for religious ceremonies, celebrations and cultural gatherings.  

Community Hours
Open to Zoroastrian community members and their families. 

  • Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 8:00am - 12:00pm & 4:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Saturday/Sunday: 8:00am - 7:00pm
  • Monday/Wednesday: CLOSED

Directions
From 101 - Take the Alum Rock road exit and head east on Alum Rock. Make a right onto Mt. Hamilton Rd, go for 1.8 miles. Make a left onto Crothers Rd, go for 0.4 miles. Make a right at "Zoroastrian Temple" sign and drive to the top left gate. 

From 680 - Take the Alum Rock road exit and head east on Alum Rock for 0.3 miles. Make a right onto Mt. Hamilton Rd, go for 1.8 miles. Make a left onto Crothers Rd, go for 0.4 miles. Make a right at "Zoroastrian Temple" sign and drive to the top left gate.
